For decades now we have been developing full solutions around flat galvanised wire, transforming it into wire mesh and making scourers for cleaning applications. Our integrated production line, from drawing and rolling to knitting and assembly, means we have full control at every stage, guaranteeing consistent quality, flexible production and the ability to adapt to client needs.

Today VOCO is an acknowledged player in the world market for metal scourers as a supplier of both raw materials and turnkey manufacturing solutions.

High-precision flat wire for knitting applications

We have an integrated drawing and rolling system, so our machines can take round 1.80mm wire of mild galvanised steel and produce flat wire in 0.75mm x 0.05mm dimensions to be knitted either in our own workshop or directly in the premises of clients equipped with the right knitting machines.

Our knitting machines

Our single-head knitting machines, designed here in Dannemarie, are also available for sale to clients. These are assembled and tested at our site in Alsace by our technical team. Simple and robust, they can be installed rapidly, allowing clients to master all the processes involved in manufacturing metal scourers.

Standard/large/extra large tubular knit and scourer

With our knitting machines we can produce tubular mesh of varying sizes (7.5cm, 9 .5cm and 11.5cm) from our 0.75 x 0.05mm flat wire in galvanised soft steel. Our clients simply have to cut a length of mesh of the desired weight and roll it to obtain a metal pot scourer.

From our tubular mesh we can make metal scourers by hand or by machine. Depending on the method used, the result is a scourer fasted on the edge by either a metal wire or a dot of glue and a staple.
